Christmas Wrap Up.. and we're not just talking presents

It’s been a busy year at RHP and like Santa’s Christmas waistline, we have grown. Our elves have worked with some great clients on some very interesting projects over the year;

We have been WRAP-ing up (see what we did there?) a waste reduction gift from the hospitality sector for the tree in the form of recruiting signatories to the Hospitality and Food Service Agreement (HaFSA). The client for this is, of course, WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) who have published some really impressive research over the course of the year. The HaFSA programme will help reduce the amount of material that goes to landfill from the sector and contribute toward preventing food waste while delivering significant saving opportunities in the process …

We have been saving snow, sorry ‘show’ goers money at Hotelympia and Scothot, with the Save & Sustain calculator, and supporting an international tour operator, and their suppliers, with reducing their resource use and achieving Travelife certification.

The stocking fillers include projects on food futures, carbon reduction and resource efficiency training.

Now we are turning our attention to resource efficiency for the Christmas turkey and where to recycle unwanted gift sets or, at least, avoiding buying them. Check out Master Chef for a fab guide on leftover meal planning! and a fun top ten list of what not to buy as RHP head off for the holidays. We’ll be back in the office on Monday the 6th January and look forward to working with you all in 2014!

We wish you all a very Merry Green Christmas and profitable, fun filled and ethical New Year (yup we have the proof that it is possible to have all three)!
